The Hermantown School Board will look much different for four years, beginning at the first meeting in January 2013.

Todd Aanonsen, Sheri Sullivan and Rob McLachlan each currently hold seats up for election. Only McLachlan will be running for re-election.

Others who filed for candidacy to the open seats on the school board were Aaron Salmela, Dianne Mathews, Laura Thorsvik and Stephanie Hamell.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012. New members will begin their four-year terms in January, 2013.

Several years ago the school board voted in favor of extending terms in order to align school board elections with larger elections, including presidential and local city races. By doing so the district is able to share the cost of holding an election.
There will be two polling places for Hermantown residents. One will be at Grace Lutheran Church on Hwy. 53, the other at Salem Lutheran Church on Hermantown Road.
